Amanuel’s Path to Stability

May 24th, 2024 |HaTikva Aid

Amanuel is married with 3 children ages 6, 8, and 12. He and his family are refugees from Eritrea, living in Ashkelon. When the war broke out, they were evacuated to a safer part of the country. The father worked in a supermarket in Ashkelon while the mother worked as a house cleaner for a few hours a week due to health problems. When the couple moved to the central area, the father couldn’t continue working at the grocery store in Ashkelon, and they were unable to pay rent for several months. Now the couple has returned to their home and the father has found a new job, but they owe a few months of rent. HaTikva Project was able to help them pay that rent and get into a stable position again
