Rivka Buhbut’s story is a powerful reminder of the ongoing impact of conflict on families. Rivka’s husband, Elkana Buhbut, was kidnapped by Hamas during the October 7th massacre. We were able to help her get into a new apartment where she and her now 4-year-old son are living.
We were recently able to help her again as she continues to wait in hope of her husband’s return.
Thankfully, she has been able to work more as she’s received counseling and help for the mental anguish she has been experiencing, but the government assistance she was also receiving has greatly decreased as well.
Elkana Bohbot recently turned 36 years old, his second birthday in captivity. His family recently received signs that he is alive and even received a song from him for Rivka.
