As a ministry, HaTikva Project has been providing trauma care to Israelis from many sectors of society for years and has experienced amazing results. Our experience has prepared us for the current and ongoing trauma care crisis, and we are investing in developing our current trauma care model into a year-round resource.
The HaTikva Project Healing Oasis is designed to be a refuge in Israel—a place where trauma meets compassion and the journey toward wholeness begins. Designed to restore both mind and soul, this sanctuary will provide an environment tailored explicitly for healing.
In the initial phases of the Oasis, HaTikva will be inviting up to 10 families at a time into a space that we have rented, staged, and staffed to provide up to a week of dedicated trauma care, ministry, and emotional support. The care will be structured to benefit the whole family, along with a robust children’s program.
On-site, participants will receive expert care from licensed trauma counselors, therapists, and mental health professionals. Additionally, it will be a place of prayer, worship, and spiritual support, grounded in the love and hope of the Lord. These support methods will be combined with thoughtful and life-giving family activities, allowing participants to engage in restorative outdoor activities.
As families complete our program, we will work with partners to provide tailored follow-up care, as well as clinical care based on each family’s individual needs.
To accomplish these goals, HaTikva is intentionally working with a range of existing ministries in Israel as we seek to build partnerships that leverage the full potential of what the Lord has deposited in the local Body of Messiah to meet this massive need.
Ultimately, we envision transitioning away from renting and toward having operational ownership of a year-round, full-time, trauma care and healing center.
