Asher is a 23-year-old soldier. He is the 6th of 7 children and comes from a believing family. His father died when he was 9 years old. At the beginning of the ground operation inside Gaza, he served in a commando unit that tried to locate and thwart terrorist infrastructures.
During the operation, the team encountered a powerful explosive device, many on his team were killed while the rest were seriously wounded, including Asher. Both of his legs needed to be amputated. He is now undergoing rehabilitation and treatment for his injuries. Hatikva Project has been able to help him during his rehabilitation.
