Elad is a 36-year-old single man from Jerusalem. He served as a young soldier during the Second Lebanon War and faced challenging experiences that led to trauma, resulting in complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anxiety.
Since then, he has been working various odd jobs to make a living. He faces many limitations due to his PTSD, and now, following the war that began on October 7th, some of the places that were providing him work no longer needed his services, leaving him with almost no income. Unfortunately, the government doesn’t recognize his disability so he doesn’t receive any government disability aid.
He happens to enjoy boxing and teaches boxing during his free time, he applied for aid because he wants to become a professional boxing instructor. HaTikva Project is helping pay for his course to become an instructor and towards his rent until he can get back on his feet.
