Shani’s journey has been filled with hardships, but she refuses to give up.

Shani is a very hard-working single mother of 4-year-old twins. She herself was adopted at 2 months of age and to this day suffers from the effects of fetal alcohol syndrome, which makes it difficult for her to function fully and work. She receives disability for her condition, but it’s not enough to cover her expenses. Her ex-husband continues to avoid paying child support and left her with large debts that were in both their names, but now she is the only one paying them. Her adoptive family is very supportive of her and helps with the children, but financially they can no longer help. She is receiving financial counseling, and now by God’s grace, HaTikva Project has been able to help her thanks to your support.
