Providing Essential Tutoring for Grieving Students

June 18th, 2024 |HaTikva Aid

Ilana is a recent widow. Her husband was a policeman who was murdered on October 7th while protecting their city from Hamas terrorists. Ilana is left with two sons (16 and 17), and although they are recognized by the Ministry of Defense and receive government assistance, they still need additional help. Due to their grief, the boys were having difficulty studying.

The oldest is preparing for his high school graduation matriculation exams and college entrance exams, while the younger one is trying to keep up with his high school classes. Since their school doesn’t offer tutoring, the HaTikva Project was able to help this family pay for the private assistance they needed to allow the boys to keep up with their studies.
