V. is an 85-year-old famous Russian, Soviet, and Israeli poet. He was 2 years old when the war broke out in Belarus, and by God’s miraculous hand, his mom took him and ran from Gomel to Orel. Soon after they left, Gomel was turned into one of the Jewish ghettos. The entire population was annihilated by the end of 1941. His grandmother and the rest of the family stayed in Gostomel where they were shot. His mother burned their documents and made new ones that said they were Christian. With these documents and the because they spoke German, V. and his mother lived and survived in Orel under Nazi occupation by God’s grace as well. V. came to HaTikva Dental and received dental treatment, free of cost, which he says he was happy and grateful for. Maher was his doctor who did his job thoroughly and professionally.
