You may also remember the Williams family, who were sent together for a restorative retreat in Texas. The father of the family had been called up to reserves and spent months in Gaza. His wife didn’t know if he would return, or what shape he would be in when he did. When his tour of duty ended and he came home safe, he was struggling to cope with what he had been through. We were able to send him and his family to Texas for healing, respite and therapy. They had an amazing time and wrote us the sweetest thank you letter.
In addition to the respite, the family needed more assistance. The father normally works in the field of production and media photography for clients coming from abroad, but after his return from the reserves, the work decreased significantly due to a decrease in tourism to Israel. His wife also works at a tourist agency so her work has also sharply declined. In this situation it is of course difficult to keep up with day to day expenses. We were happy to continue to serve the family with financial support.
