Eva is an 85-year-old Holocaust survivor from the Kharkiv region, Ukraine who made Aliyah to Israel 21 years ago. She was born three days before WWII began. Right after the war started, her parents left everything behind and fled to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where kind people helped them survive. She says those people were a miracle from God for her mother and three children, as her father went back to the war zone to fight against the Nazis. Later, they found out their house had been bombed, and all their belongings were stolen by local citizens who had nowhere else to go.

Recently when speaking with us she began to cry because of the pain in her broken arm. She had taken a bad fall in Jerusalem and is awaiting surgery for her broken arm.

We prayed for her to have a quick recovery and encouraged her. She said she felt better, cared for, and loved. Eva was very appreciative of the dental care she received at HaTikva Dental. She said it was meant to be that God brought us into her life!

A Melody of Hope Ibrahim’s Path to Healing

Because of your support, hope is reaching those in need.

Ibrahim, a 58-year-old single Christian Arab with permanent residency, lives with his elderly mother. A talented pianist, he volunteers his time playing in various communities for different events. Recently, he lost his hearing aids—the very tools that enable him to play and serve others. Unfortunately, his health insurance would not cover replacements.

In this time of need, HaTikva Project was honored to step in and provide him with new hearing aids, allowing him to continue sharing his gift of music.

Ibrahim, a 58-year-old single Christian Arab with permanent residency, lives with his elderly mother.

A Family’s Restoration Nehaya and Galeel’s Journey

Hope is being restored for Nehaya and Galeel.

Nehaya and Galeel are Arab Christians from Jerusalem and parents to two boys, ages 12 and 13. Nehaya works as a teacher, while Galeel, after struggling with substance abuse, is currently in an eight-month rehabilitation program at a Christian center in Haifa, where he must stay full-time. Before entering the program, his past choices led to significant bank debts, leaving Nehaya searching for a higher-paying job to support their family and pay off their debts.

During this difficult season, HaTikva Project has been able to support them, offering hope and practical assistance.

Nehaya and Galeel are Arab Christians from Jerusalem and parents to two boys, ages 12 and 13. Nehaya works as a teacher, while Galeel, after struggling with substance abuse.

Supporting a Family Through Crisis Matan and Alona’s Story

Matan and Alona are a married couple with four children who were forced to evacuate their home due to the war. Along with losing their home temporarily, their family-owned grocery store in the same area was also impacted.

Although the cost of the hotel they stayed in for months was covered, the lack of business at their store caused them to fall into debt.

Thanks to the generosity of our partners, HaTikva Project was able to come alongside Matan and Alona, providing support during this difficult time and helping their family get back on their feet.

Matan and Alona are a married couple with four children who were forced to evacuate their home due to the war.
