A Life of Survival, Achievement, and Appreciation: Bogdan’s Story

Meet Bogdan who was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine. He is today 90 years old. Growing up, the war took his family by surprise in July 1941.

His father was immediately sent to the front lines. By August, his mother and younger brother were evacuated to the Ural region and later to Georgia. While traveling by train, they experienced several bombings. He recalls the terror when the train stopped, and everyone had to run to the fields and lie down in the grass until the danger had passed. During this time, his mother and aunt cared for the children. It wasn't until 1947 that they returned to Kharkiv. Bogdan later attended university, earned his Ph.D., and became a Research Associate in Mining Engineering. At 57, he moved to Israel.

Bogdan learned about HaTikva Dental from friends and says the treatment he received from Dr. Maher was excellent. He “deeply appreciates the good deeds being done here on earth.”
