Alona and Miri’s Journey of Trust, Struggles, and Strength

Alona is a single mother in her 50s with a 20 year old adopted daughter, Miri, who has behavioral challenges.

Here is what one of our social workers has to say about Miri.

“Coaching her behavior can be challenging at times. She doesn’t always respond consistently, but every time we meet, she knows she can trust me, rely on me, and hear the truth about her decisions. Unfortunately, her mother’s health is deteriorating, which has been difficult for her. She has been having tantrums, likely out of fear of losing her mother. Prayers for both of them would be greatly appreciated.”

Our goals with Miri are to continue building trust, offering consistent emotional support, providing a truthful and reliable environment and showing empathy for family struggles.
